Waterpark Availability 

Waterpark Use for Lodging Guests – The use of the waterpark is included in your lodging rate. The waterpark is available starting at 3 pm day of check-in until 3 pm day of check-out. The waterpark, activity pool, splash pad, water play features, 1,000-gallon dumping bucket and kid’s express slide are all currently open for in-house guests only with a maximum capacity of 90 people. 
 
Early check-in is not available currently to assist in capacity management.
 
On July 4, 2020, the full waterpark will open with a capacity of 220 (50%). This will include the activity pool, hot tubs, lazy river, splash pad, 300-foot body slide and 300-foot tube slide. 
 
We may have to limit daily swim time if our in-house capacity is larger than our allowed limits for the waterpark. In this event, we will have time slots for people to sign up for; for example, 3pm-6pm, 6pm-9pm and so on. Please plan ahead with alternate activities to enjoy in the Brainerd Lakes Area. A full list is available at the Front Desk.  
 
Waterpark Use for Outside Guests – Starting July 17, 2020, we will be able to start welcoming our outside guests to our waterpark whenever capacity allows. To assist in managing the capacity and allowing everyone time to plan their day, we will require reservations for our “Day Use Package” starting at 6 pm on the day prior to your arrival day. This will allow us time to ensure that we will have the available capacity for you. We’re sorry, but we are not able to allow walk-ins, birthdays, or group bookings at this time.
 

Laser Tag Availability 

Our current capacity is eight for Laser Tag. We’re able to allow for rental of the Laser Tag space, but it needs to be reserved prior to your arrival. Please inquire with our Front Desk for which time slots are currently available for your desired date from the list below:

Cost is $40 for a half-hour rental or $65 for a one-hour rental. Please book your time no later than the day prior to your arrival. Based on demand, we may not be able to open our Laser Tag facility.
 

Food and Beverage Service Availability

Starting July 4, 2020 our food and beverage will be available for both room and table service. Hours are noon-9 pm. 
 

Day Use Rooms – Available from 8 am to 4 pm (based on availability)

Includes:
• Storage of belongings in private room
• Showering
• Relaxing in between play
• Waterpark usage from 9 am – 3 pm
• Up to four Waterpark passes
• Additional Waterpark pass with maximum of six per Day Use Room for $10 per pass
 
Rate Per Day Use Room:
• Monday – Thursday: $69 per day, plus tax
• Friday – Sunday: $99 per day, plus tax

And Ask From You

The top priority at the Holiday Inn Express Brainerd-Baxter Hotel is always the safety and well-being of our guests and staff. We continue to monitor and follow the guidance of Federal, State and Local Officials regarding COVID-19. 

Here is what you should expect when checking in at the Holiday Inn Express, Brainerd-Baxter Hotel:
  • We have created a contactless check in experience for your safety.
  • All commonly used items disinfected prior to there next use along with disinfection wipes available for guest comfort.
  • We have added sanitizing stations at all entrances/exits.
  • Signage and barriers posted to remind both guests and staff to practice safe stay protocols.
  • All staff members trained to implement heightened disinfection and safety protocols for each department.
  • Prior to each shift – all staff members go through a wellness check to ensure they are symptom free.
  • All staff will practice appropriate hand washing, social distancing and wearing a mask when appropriate.
Our cleaning protocols:
  • Following all stays, for the health and safety of our guests and staff, we must allow adequate time to disinfect and clean each unit. When your room is ready, you will be contacted via cell number. Please make sure we have the proper cell number on file for you.
  • We follow a 5 Step cleaning program that includes surveying the room for possible repairs, servicing the room by properly stripping all linen, used or not, disinfecting all surfaces with the proper hold times to ensure proper disinfection, staging the room for the next guest, and inspecting to ensure all 5 steps have been completed properly.
  • Every hour we have a dedicated crew disinfecting high touch areas like door hands, elevator buttons, railings, tabletops, and bathrooms to minimize risk.
  • We utilize a First Used First Clean approach to disinfection; you will see tent cards on commonly used items notifying the guest that the object has been disinfected; as well as, please remove this card after use. This communicates to other guests along with our disinfection team priorities in their cleaning walk through.
  • Disinfecting wipes will be available for the public to use if they want to disinfect an area themselves prior to use for their own comfort.
We ask this of our guests:
  • We are taking every step to minimize risk for our staff and guests. We continue to follow the Governor’s orders and recommendations from health authorities, which change often. We will update policies as changes occur. Remember, if you feel sick, stay home. We are in this together, together we are stronger, and together we will stay safer.
